Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (Nights) to provide high-quality care within a care home setting. The successful candidate will support residents with their nightly needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the night shift. Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility during night hours
- Monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing, including administering medication as per care plans
- Documenting observations accurately and updating resident records using IT systems
- Responding promptly to residents’ needs and emergencies with effective communication skills
- Supporting residents to maintain their independence and dignity at all times
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the care environment throughout the night shift
- Communicating effectively with team members, residents, and their families to provide seamless care
Requirements
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving community visits or outings
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation and reporting purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate attitude with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
