Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Goods Inwards Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet specified standards and comply with relevant safety and quality regulations. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring that only high-quality materials are utilised in our production processes. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of quality control procedures to contribute to our organisation’s success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming and outgoing goods, verifying quantities, packaging, visual inspection, and documentation against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Assess the quality of received parts, ensuring they meet specified standards and compliance requirements.
- Identify any discrepancies, damages, or non-conformities.
- Collaborate with inspection department and internal teams to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP protocols and other relevant safety standards during inspection processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analysing inspection data to identify trends or recurring issues related to supplier quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality assurance or inspection roles, preferably within manufacturing or food production environments..
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to identify deviations from standards accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Good communication skills for liaising effectively with internal departments.
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a collaborative approach within the team.
- To apply for this role, you do not need previous inspection experience. We are looking for someone with a willingness to learn, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to carry out visual inspections. Full training will be provided by our experienced team of inspectors, who will support you in developing the skills and knowledge required for the role.

- Overtime available if business needs require
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
