Are you an experienced engineer who enjoys problem-solving in the field? We’re looking for a skilled Mobile Forklift Engineer to join our client’s growing team, supporting customers across the Midlands.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of material handling equipment, ensuring customers stay operational with minimal downtime.
The Role:
- Servicing, maintaining, and overhauling forklifts and material handling equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on diesel, gas, and electric trucks
- Carrying out routine inspections including brakes, steering, lift assemblies, and oil/filter changes
- Completing preventative maintenance, lubrication, and adjustments
- Testing and maintaining batteries including voltage and fluid checks
- Attending breakdowns and providing fast, effective repairs on-site
- Working on hydraulics, steering systems, lift chains, brakes, and drive-trains
- Fault-finding on electrical systems, diesel/LPG engines, and hydraulic systems
- Maintaining accurate service records and delivering excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For:
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience working on forklifts or material handling equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Background in plant, HGV, agricultural, construction, automotive, REME, or similar industries
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field
- Strong engineering knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach
