SEND HLTA – Full-Time (Long-Term to Permanent)
Location: Sutton
Salary: £110-£130 Per Day PAYE
Contract: Full time 8:45 to 3:30 Monday to Friday
We are working in partnership with a well-established SEND secondary school in Sutton that supports students with Autism, ADHD, and a range of complex needs. The school is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND HLTA to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, with a strong possibility of a permanent position.
The Role:
As a SEND HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers and a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored interventions, lead small group sessions, and occasionally cover lessons when required. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support students’ academic and social development in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted interventions across KS3 and KS4
- Lead small group sessions and provide 1:1 support
- Support lesson planning and adapt materials to meet EHCP targets
- Work with students with Autism, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience as an HLTA or senior TA within a SEND setting
- Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and complex needs
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies
- A proactive, resilient, and compassionate approach
- Relevant qualifications (HLTA status or equivalent desirable)
