Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service and music environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in food service music/comedy and event entertainment and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an opportunity to manage a team, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to the smooth running of our busy establishment. Previous experience in restaurant management, culinary arts, or hospitality is highly desirable. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, coordinating food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout their shift.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations
- Manage daily operations including inventory control, stock replenishment, and cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas
- Support staff with cooking, serving, and food presentation as needed to maintain high standards
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and training to promote professional development
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies at all times
- Handle customer queries or complaints promptly and professionally to uphold the company's reputation
- Assist in scheduling staff shifts to optimise coverage during busy periods
Experience
- Proven management or supervisory experience within a food production or restaurant environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary arts; barista experience is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
- Experience in supervising teams within fast-paced environments such as restaurants or catering services
- Familiarity with kitchen operations including food presentation, serving techniques, and inventory management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Previous experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is essential for understanding customer expectations and operational demands
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
