About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator to join our small Estates and Facilities team on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care in the Milton Keynes area. We offer round-the-clock, expert care to local patients with a life-limiting illness, both in their own homes and in our In-Patient Unit. Our passionate staff and volunteers make sure our care is personalised to each patient’s needs and supports their loved ones too. We have a thriving Therapeutic & Wellbeing service providing counselling, physiotherapy, activity groups and more, and a specialist Lymphoedema service. As a registered charity, we raise vital funds through our dedicated Business Development team and our growing portfolio of high street and online shops, to ensure our care stays free of charge.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain accurate and comprehensive departmental records and documentation.
Provide general administrative support to the Estates Department.
Support the Estates Department in the use of departmental systems and software.
Maintain and update relevant intranet pages and shared information resources.
Assist with the administration of compliance and facilities-related activities across hospice sites, including maintaining relevant records and supporting scheduling and coordination as required.
Maintain contractor and supplier documentation records.
Liaise effectively with external contacts and advisors on behalf of the department.
Provide administrative support for routine site visits, inspections and internal audits, including scheduling, preparation of documentation and record keeping.
What You’ll Need:
Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Competent in use of Microsoft Office
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
knowledge of or interest in Health & Safety, estates or compliance environments is desirable but not essential — full training and support will be provided.
