Head of Information Management (Major Infrastructure Projects)
South Yorkshire (Multi-site flexibility required)
We’re working with a well-established infrastructure organisation delivering major projects across the UK.
With continued investment in digital capability and information management, they are now looking to appoint a Head of Information Management to take ownership of strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement across a multi-project environment.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for shaping and driving information management practices across the full project lifecycle.
You’ll take ownership of how digital information is structured, managed, and utilised ensuring compliance, improving efficiency, and embedding best practice across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Information Management (IM) function across multiple live projects

Own and drive compliance with ISO19650 and BIM standards

Oversee the strategy and optimisation of Common Data Environments (CDE), including platforms such as Asite and SharePoint
-
Support pre-construction and bid activity, ensuring IM requirements are clearly defined and deliverable

Drive mobilisation of projects, including systems, governance, and resource planning

Ensure robust IM delivery throughout design, construction, and project close-out

Manage IM risks, reporting, and performance across the portfolio

Embed digital tools, workflows, and innovation to enhance project delivery

Engage key stakeholders across delivery teams, clients, and supply chain

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Information Management team
About You
-
Strong background in Information Management within infrastructure, construction, or engineering environments

Proven experience working with ISO19650 and BIM frameworks
-
Hands-on experience managing and implementing Common Data Environments (CDEs)

Demonstrable leadership experience in a multi-project or programme environment

Ability to drive change, adoption, and digital transformation

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

Experience across full project lifecycle (bid through to handover)

Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Desirable:

Rail, construction or large-scale infrastructure experience
-
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (IM, ICT, Computer Science or similar)
