Job Summary
Andel is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Special Projects Development Manager to lead the development and growth of a dedicated Data Centre Solutions Division focused on leak detection and critical infrastructure protection.
This role is a unique opportunity to build and shape a specialist business area from the ground up—developing strategy, identifying opportunities, influencing product direction, and delivering growth across domestic and international markets.
The successful candidate will combine technical credibility, commercial insight and commercial drive to establish Andel as a recognised market leader in protecting -critical environments.
This is not a traditional sales role. This position is responsible for creating a division and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Division Development
- Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for Andel’s Data Centre Solutions.
- Establish Andel’s position within the global data centre and infrastructure sectors.
- Identify new market opportunities, routes to market, partnerships and expansion opportunities.
- Build a sustainable sales pipeline and support long-term growth.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts and performance measures.
Business Development & Commercial Leadership
- Generate and secure opportunities across:
- Data centre operators
- Hyperscale environments
- M&E consultants
- Main contractors
- Facilities management providers
- Commissioning and critical infrastructure specialists
- Lead technical and commercial discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
- Drive specification opportunities and influence decisions.
- Manage complex sales cycles from concept through to delivery.
Technical Solution Development
- Become the internal specialist for data centre leak detection applications and critical protection.
- Translate market requirements into product and solution development opportunities.
- Work closely with R&D, Operations and Technical teams to refine and enhance solutions.
- Support technical presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concept activity.
- Maintain awareness of market developments and emerging technologies.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Act as senior point of contact for strategic customers and projects.
- Build strong relationships across technical, operational and commercial functions.
- Support transition from project acquisition into delivery and aftercare.

Person Specification
Essential
- Proven success in technical sales, business development or strategic growth roles
- Experience working within one or more of:

- Critical Infrastructure
- M&E Services
- Building Services
- BMS / Controls
- Commissioning
- Leak Detection
- Environmental Monitoring
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience managing complex projects and opportunities
- Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery capability
- Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel internationally
Competitive Salary
Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
