Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Reactive Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting drainage systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills in plumbing & drainage and the use of hand and power tools. The position involves working in various environments, often requiring heavy lifting and the operation of commercial vehicles, with a focus on reactive maintenance tasks.
Idealy candidates can patch line & use picote cutters however training can be offered.
Preferably with a CSCS card
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and diagnose issues within drainage systems promptly and accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on drainage infrastructure using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Utilise welding, plumbing, and assembly skills to resolve complex drainage problems.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks to move equipment or materials as required.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute repair strategies effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for each job.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in the installation of new drainage systems when necessary.
- Drive company vehicles for site visits or procurement trips, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drainage repair or related mechanical fields is preferred.
- Competency in , plumbing & drainage assembly, and the use of hand and power tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Valid commercial driving licence is desirable.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical diagrams.
- Experience working with heavy machinery or industrial equipment is advantageous.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of work carried out.
