LLS is a specialist education provider that has been delivering innovative sixth-form sports programmes since 2008. In an exciting collaboration with Llandudno FC, we are seeking an elite-level coach to lead our joint Under 18 squad. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a professional player pathway, bridging the gap between academy football and the first team.
Role Overview
- Rate of Pay: £40 per hour.
- Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week (3 afternoons: 2 training sessions + 1 fixture).
- Start Date: August 2026.
- Location: Llandudno FC.
- Reporting to: Llandudno FC 1st Team Manager.
Job Description
As the Lead U18 Football Coach, you will be responsible for the tactical, technical, and physical development of the LLS x Llandudno FC squad. You will act as a vital link in the club's philosophy, ensuring that young talent is prepared for the demands of senior football.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elite Coaching: Lead high-quality, high-intensity training sessions twice weekly, aligned with the 1st team’s playing philosophy.
- Matchday Management: Lead the U18 squad during weekly fixtures, overseeing team selection, tactics, and in-game adjustments.
- Player Pathway: Work directly with the 1st Team Manager to identify and transition standout talent into the senior setup.
- Performance Analysis: Provide constructive feedback to student-athletes regarding their technical development and tactical understanding.
- Professionalism: Maintain high standards of discipline and professional conduct, acting as a mentor for post-16 students.
- Welfare: Safeguard and promote the welfare of all players in accordance with LLS and Llandudno FC policies.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- UEFA ‘B’ License (minimum qualification).
- Proven experience coaching at the youth elite or senior level.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire young athletes.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Criteria:
- UEFA ‘A’ License or above.
- Previous experience within a professional club academy or semi-professional first-team environment.
- An understanding of the LLS education model and its integration with football excellence.
