Salary: £55,923 – £60,690 (dependent on location and experience)
Market Rate Supplement: Applicable
Location: Flexible across the 7 Forces region
Working Arrangement: Predominantly home‑based, with travel to force locations as required

About 7 Forces Commercial Services
7Force Commercial Services is a shared procurement function supporting the seven police forces across the East of England—Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Managing approximately £230m of third‑party spend annually, the collaboration is the second‑largest police procurement collective after the Metropolitan Police.
We are seeking an ICT Category Specialist to lead and deliver tactical procurement activity and strategic contract management across the ICT and Corporate Category on behalf of the seven forces.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will:
Lead on Tactical Acquisition and Tactical Profit procurements across the ICT and Corporate Category.
Deliver robust strategic contract management and supplier relationship management, ensuring value for money and realisation of contracted benefits.
Work confidently with senior leaders across all seven forces, representing either individual forces or the collective collaboration as required.
Influence and engage with national stakeholders, including the Home Office, Crown Commercial Service, Police Digital Service, and BlueLight Commercial, contributing to national initiatives and supporting future capability development.
Work closely with budget holders and operational contract managers to ensure the procurement pipeline reflects organisational priorities and business requirements.
Manage complex ICT sourcing activity with demonstrable end‑to‑end procurement delivery.
Essential Requirements
Ideally educated to CIPS Level 6, or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience, technical knowledge, and expertise gained within a complex public‑sector environment.
Proven track record in ICT procurement, including management of complex ICT programmes or contracts.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate confidently at senior levels.
Ability to travel across the seven forces when required.

The post holder will be employed by 7 Forces Commercial Services, with a base location aligned to any of the seven forces.
