The Role
You find landlords. You pitch CHX. You close deals. This is outbound sales - you will be on the phone, in viewings, and in negotiations every day. You will be the driving force behind one of the fastest growing startup Fintechs in the UK. Your pipeline is the company's growth.
You report to the Head of Asset Management. You work alongside our existing Portfolio Development team. But your deals are yours - you own the full cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
This is not an agency job. There are no chain delays, no buyer fall-throughs, no months-long sales cycles. Our average deal closes within 1-3 weeks of first contact. You will see the direct result of your work, fast.

At $290 trillion, real estate is the largest asset class in the world. Yet rental income remains completely uncertain - vacancies, arrears and defaults.
CHX is an AI fintech that makes rental income certain for landlords and agencies. We guarantee rental income - paid from day one, whether the property is occupied or not. Our AI underwrites every deal, pricing income risk at the individual property level - something that was economically impossible before.
We are not a letting agent. We are not a property manager - our landlords and agents handle that themselves. We are a principal risk-bearing financial institution that happens to operate in residential real estate.
Responsibilities
- Source landlord leads through outbound channels - cold calls, direct outreach, platform prospecting, referral networks
- Conduct property viewings and valuations - assess properties against CHX's underwriting criteria on-site
- Pitch and present CHX's model to landlords, handling objections and negotiating terms
- Manage your pipeline end-to-end from first contact to signed agreement
- Maintain CRM discipline - every call, every viewing, every status update logged accurately and in real time
- Hit or exceed monthly and quarterly deal targets - measured on units signed, not activity
- Feed market intelligence back to the team - pricing trends, competitor activity, landlord sentiment
- Support agent-referred deal flow when required - conducting viewings and closing deals originated through partner agents

The Renters' Rights Act takes effect in May 2026 - the most significant regulatory shift in UK private renting in 40 years. Section 21 goes. Advance rent gets banned. The operational burden on landlords increases dramatically. Every one of those changes makes CHX more valuable. This is the role where you ride that wave, not watch it from the shore.

What we are looking for
- Proven Closer. YYou have personally signed deals - not assisted, not "been involved in," signed. You can point to your personal numbers and they speak for themselves. We will ask you to walk through specific deals in your interview. If you can't, this isn't the right role.
- Outbound DNA. You are comfortable picking up the phone and calling someone who doesn't know you. You've done it before, consistently, and you didn't need a manager standing over you to do it. This role is outbound-first - if your experience is predominantly inbound or referral-based, be honest about that.
- Deep Sales Experience. You have sold in a target-driven, outbound environment - lettings, property, financial services, or another transactional sector. You understand pipeline mechanics, conversion economics, and how to move a prospect from sceptical to signed. London lettings experience is a strong advantage but not a requirement if your closing ability is demonstrable.
- Commercially aggressive, operationally disciplined. You want to hit targets and you think in pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue - not tasks and activity. You're also rigorous enough to maintain your CRM and are organised operationally.
- Self-starting in a small team. Fast pace. High standards. Real accountability. We have systems and processes. We have training. You manage your own time, your own pipeline, and your own performance. You escalate when there's a decision to make, not when you need motivation.
Compensation
We pay for performance. The better you and your team perform, the more you earn - with no ceiling.
- Base salary: £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience. Base increases scheduled upon completion of seed raise
- Commission: £1000 avg per deal. Uncapped commission on deals above your quarterly quota
- Team bonus: £3,000–£5,000 quarterly based on hitting aggregate deal targets
- Equity: Ownership stake in CHX
- OTE: £110,000+, uncapped upside.
