A vacancy has arisen for a Pastoral Assistant (Part time) to join our Pastoral team. This post is non-residential.
The post holder will have responsibility for transporting students to medical appointments, as necessary, as well as participating in a varied programme of on-site and off-site activities and trips and providing support and assistance to teachers and students. The pastoral care of students will involve a wide variety of duties.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with a wide range of people and be able to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines. The willingness to drive College vehicles, including minibuses is a requirement of this role, therefore, a clean driving licence is essential. Experience of working in a boarding school is desirable. Working hours are 8am to 4pm each Wednesday and Friday with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break each day (total working hours: 15 hours per week) during term time, half terms and Easter holidays and other holiday periods when main term students are in residence. Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours are, however, essential in order to respond to the students’ pastoral needs.
