Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of those in their care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible
- Follow personalised care plans to meet individual needs effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships
- Help with assisting at meal time, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
Pay: From £12.81 per hour
