We are recruiting on behalf of our client for passionate, resilient and caring Residential Support Workers to join an Ofsted-registered children’s home in Ninfield, supporting four young people aged 8–17.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a warm, supportive and well-established Residential Childcare provider, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), with additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) present within the home.

About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a dedicated team supporting children and young people within a safe, structured and nurturing residential environment.
The young people in the home may have experienced trauma or require additional emotional support, meaning this role requires patience, consistency, empathy and emotional resilience.
You will play a vital role in helping young people:
- Build positive routines and healthy relationships
- Develop emotional regulation and resilience
- Engage in education, hobbies and meaningful activities
- Increase confidence and independence
- Feel safe, understood and supported
For some young people, additional support around autism and neurodiverse needs may also be required, meaning a calm, therapeutic and child-centred approach is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day care and emotional support
- Building trusting and positive relationships with young people
- Supporting routines, education and activities
- Helping young people navigate challenges calmly and positively
- Promoting independence and life skills
- Working collaboratively with families, professionals and colleagues
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing and structured home environment
- Supporting behaviours in a calm and therapeutic manner
Working Pattern
40 hours per week
Shift patterns include:
- 7:00am – 9:00pm
- 9:00am – 11:00pm
Sleep-ins
- Sleep-ins available (not contracted)
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for caring, resilient and genuine individuals who are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
Preferred experience in one or more of the following:
- Residential Childcare
- Supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism
- Experience supporting young people who require nurturing and therapeutic care
- An understanding of neurodiversity and emotional regulation
You will also have:
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Emotional resilience and confidence in challenging situations
- A positive, proactive mindset
- A genuine passion for helping young people thrive
