Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 day , night and Tramper Drivers to work for ongoing clients around Dartford. This role involves long-distance deliveries across the UK, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. The successful candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with flatbed loads, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. Duties
- Conduct pre-journey safety inspections and ensure vehicle compliance with legal requirements
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transit
- Maintain a professional standard of conduct and ensure the safety of yourself and other road users at all times
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience driving Class 1
- No more than 6 points
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with curtain or fridge and delivery routes
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations
- Excellent driving skills with an emphasis on safety and compliance
- Ability to work independently on long-distance journeys, often involving overnight stays or extended periods away from home
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail in completing documentation accurately
