General Maintenance Operative (multi-skilled)
Looking for a Role Where No Two Days Are the Same?
At Balloo Inns, we do hospitality differently.
We believe great hospitality starts long before our guests walk through the door. It starts with safe, well-maintained, welcoming venues, and the dedicated people who work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
We're proud to be one of Northern Ireland's most respected hospitality groups. While many businesses have faced significant challenges in recent years, we've continued to invest in our people, our properties and our future. Our teams stay because they feel valued, supported and part of something special.
We're now looking for a practical, reliable and proactive General Maintenance Operative to join our growing team.
If you enjoy variety, take pride in your workmanship, and like solving problems, this could be the perfect role for you.

You'll play an important role in ensuring our pubs and restaurants remain safe, welcoming and operating at their very best.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across our venues.
Completing general building repairs including basic joinery, plumbing, decorating, and maintenance tasks.
Undertaking simple electrical and mechanical repairs where appropriate.
Responding promptly to maintenance issues to minimise disruption to our operations.
Maintaining the high presentation standards our customers expect.
Working closely with venue managers to plan maintenance around busy trading periods.
Liaising with and overseeing external contractors when specialist work is required.
Assisting with equipment installations, refurbishments and improvement projects.
Identifying maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

Has previous experience in general property, building or facilities maintenance.
Is skilled in a range of practical trades such as joinery, decorating, plumbing or basic electrical work.

Can work independently and use their own initiative.
Has excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Communicates well with colleagues, managers and contractors.
Is reliable, trustworthy and professional.
Holds a full driving licence and is willing to travel between our venue locations.
Experience within hospitality, retail or commercial property maintenance would be an advantage, but is not essential.
