We are seeking a dedicated CIP Operator / Processor to join our food production team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene through efficient cleaning and processing procedures. Responsibilities
- To ensure that all planned and systematic actions are taken to assure the food safety, legality, integrity and quality of all products produced on site.
- Familiarisation and operation of both Milk and Cream pasteurisers.
- Operation of the Alfast to achieve fat levels laid down by the management team
- Familiarisation and operation of the Homogeniser.
- Ensuring all Critical Control Points are monitored as specified by the Company Quality Manual & acted upon should deviation occur.
- Operation of SCADA and to identify valves and pumps relevant to the operation.
- Operation of the C.I.P. sets.
- Off- loading of raw milk tankers and completing the relevant paper-work.
- Stock control of raw and processed milk.
- Ensuring cleaning of all equipment is conducted thoroughly, following all S.O.P’S.
- Ensuring that all necessary plant and production records are compiled accurately and the results acted upon.
- Involvement in quality and engineering problems as they arise.
- To investigate out of specification results and liase with management to identify and resolve cause.
- To ensure that all incoming materials adhere to product specifications.
- To report/discuss safety hazards with the Duty Supervisors for the application of remedial action.
- Know-how of throughput, specification and methods of operating. Ensuring all equipment is operated correctly.
- Ensuring all cleaning procedures are carried out correctly and adhered to.
- To be completely familiar with all operations in the work area to include computer terminals where they are used. To be able to give advice to service functions regarding their work area where required.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or processing environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with cleaning systems will be beneficial.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for measuring ingredients, recording data, and performing calculations related to process parameters.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring product quality is essential. This role offers a dynamic working environment where attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork are highly valued.
