The Bridge is a luxury 72 bedded care home, providing both residential and a unit for those living with Dementia. The home opened in February 24.
Shifts
Day shift Care assistant
8am-8pm
2 week rolling Rota, Wk1- 3 days & Wk2- 4 days, includes every other Weekend.
Night care assistant
8pm-8am
2 week rolling Rota, Wk1- 3 nights & Wk2- 4 nights, includes every other Weekend.

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within our care home, ensuring they receive the highest standard of personalised care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive and professional environment. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine desire to assist others.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Develop and follow personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Support clients with health monitoring as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client conditions
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and promoting wellbeing
- Use IT systems to update records and manage schedules efficiently
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or social activities when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Valid driving licence is preferred to support transportation needs
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Strong IT skills for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Organised and reliable with the ability to follow care plans accurately
