Opportunity for a male candidate to work 2:1 with a 22 year old Male with Autism/complex needs on an established home program. Full training provided in ABA and other therapeutic interventions.
Candidate MUST be Physically fit and active.
Role
The position involves Co-delivering a home education program using behavioural & therapeutic education programmes to develop communication, social/ independent living skills in the home & community.
Community activities include Gym & sports, running, swimming, cycling, climbing, trampolining, gym/sports coaching, with a view to expand and explore further communitiy activities.
This role involves physically challenging behaviour and candidate MUST be physically able to mange these incidents. Strict behaviour policy is followed in the home and community with behavioural monitoring to ensure regulation.
Position is suitable for anyone with an interest in Autism, Sports Coaching, Care, Psychology, challenging behaviour, occupational therapy, SEN & ABA.
Male candidate required due to some personal care requirements & safe guarding.
Essential Criteria
- Hold a full UK driving Licence
- Emotional & physical resilience
- Excellent communication skills
- Creative, playful, outgoing, confident
- Experience of SEN
- Able to physically manage challenging behaviours
- Physically active, fit and sporty
Desirable Criteria
- Previous qualification in physical intervention training
- Previous experience in sports coaching
Position is subject to an enhanced DBS check & references
Full time hours 30 hours a week Mon Friday 10.00 - 16.00
Occasional additional weekend hours with prior notice
Full time permanent role
