Job purpose
Location One transports their equipment by in-house drivers utilising a fleet of vehicles including HGVs with Hiab and flatbed 7.5t trucks with winches. Many of our rental products are towable so confidence and a license that includes towing is required.
Please note that the shift is from Thursday to Monday.
Our customers film and work in weird and wonderful places, accordingly this is where you will be expected to drive to. Therefore, Location One drivers need to be able to intuitively solve problems and overcome challenges daily, whilst reminding positive and professional – no day is the same at Location One!
Main duties and responsibilities
- Working as part of the driving team drivers will be mainly delivering and collecting plant in and around London. Start times may vary but will typically range from 0500 – 0700. Timings will vary depending on workload.
- Safely loading and unloading your own vehicles (and supporting other drivers when required).
- You should be driver industry savvy; how to use a taco card, WTD rules, displaying driver etiquette and being mechanically inclined.
- Thoroughly checking retuned equipment from site and getting paperwork signed accordingly by client.
- Helping clients set up equipment where requested or required.
- Most of the deliveries and collections will be within the London region but on occasion you may be asked to move equipment to or from one of our other depots around the country or deliver further afield.
- Carry out track mat installing when requested.
- To provide support in the Yard / Warehouse as and when required by the Transport Manager or Branch Manager.
- Handle customer issues on delivery effectively and contact Operations Manager for assistance if required.
- Always strive to provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications and Position Traits
- Full UK Driving License (with no more than 6 points)
- Valid CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Van driving experience
- Ability to safety lift and manage products

- This will at times be a physical role, as a driver you will be physically fit and healthy.

Pay: £35,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
