Senior Design Engineer - £45k - £55k Dungannon
We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join a growing engineering firm specialising in the design and manufacture of screening, recycling, and material handling equipment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced design professional to play a key role in the development of innovative machinery used across various industrial sectors within a business where you can really stand out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop heavy machinery using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Produce detailed technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, sales, and procurement teams
- Contribute to product improvements, innovation, and design for manufacture
- Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and compliance standards (CE/UKCA)
Essential Criteria:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
Desirable Experience:
- Background in the recycling, screening, or heavy equipment sectors
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance standards
