Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced panel beater/painter to work in our busy family run bodyshop, candidate must be timed served and be able to work to a high standard.
Must be able to work on own initiative and have excellent communication skills, immediate start is available. Salary would be based on knowledge, experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Remove damaged panels and components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace panels, ensuring they are aligned correctly and meet quality standards.
- Use welding equipment to join metal parts as needed.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and priming as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Be able to colour match
- Paint finishing to a high standard
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater/Painter or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and materials. .
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
