Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components with precision and attention to detail
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre changes
- Repair or replace faulty parts, including welding or specialised equipment repairs as necessary
- Assist with the assembly of new vehicles or components in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and maintenance needs clearly
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance, with strong mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and manuals
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively and safely
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and routine maintenance procedures
- Level 3 or Equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in diagnostics and repairs
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are desirable but not essential

Pay: Up to £42,000.00 per year
