Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail oriented and experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a busy pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Provide friendly and professional support to patients, offering advice on medications, dosages, and general queries.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients both in person and over the phone.
- Maintain accurate dispensing and stock records, ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Assist with the preparation and packaging of medications, including compounding when required.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to maintain a smooth workflow and high patient safety standards.
- Monitor medication and supply levels, placing orders when necessary to ensure adequate stock.
- Keep the pharmacy clean, organised and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:.
- NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing and within community pharmacy is essential.
- Good knowledge of dispensing processes and patient care practices.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills with both patients and healthcare professionals.
Location:
- 12a School Street, Wolston, Coventry, CV8 3HF.
Work Pattern:
- Part time - 20 hours with potential overtime.
- Monday to Friday, 2pm - 6pm.
