Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Administrator to join our team at Sexton Financial Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing mortgage documentation, liaising with clients and lenders, and ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage applications. You will work closely with the Managing Director, lenders, and clients, helping to deliver a seamless and professional experience every time.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and manage mortgage documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Liaise effectively with clients, lenders, and internal teams to facilitate the progression of mortgage applications.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions and correspondence related to mortgage files.
- Coordinate with underwriters and other relevant departments to resolve any issues that may arise during the application process.
- Monitor application progress and provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for audits or compliance reviews.
- Support the team in maintaining high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience working within financial services, specifically in mortgage administration or related roles.
- Strong understanding of mortgage processes, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in basic maths to accurately calculate figures and review financial data.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Prior experience using mortgage management software or relevant administrative tools is highly desirable.
Working Pattern
- Full or Part Time considered - Minimum of 24 hours per week.
- Working days/hours can be flexible to suit the right candidate
- This is an office-based role in Harpenden, remote working can be discussed after probation.
