Overview of the role:
Cameron, based in Notting Hill, has a well-established reputation for delivering ground breaking gardens of the highest standard, established over 30 years.
An exciting hands-on role, working closely with your Hard Landscaping Lead, offers the opportunity to work on some top end domestic and commercial gardens. Hard landscaping experience required; some horticultural knowledge is beneficial; a desire to learn and develop is vital. You will need to be good at communicating and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, whilst being able to show initiative.
Duties:
- Support the Hard Landscaping Lead in day-to-day construction works and garden installations to ensure that your gardens reach their full potential.
- Ensure all tools, materials and plants are taken to site when required.
- Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools. Reporting any problems immediately.
- Support the Hard Landscaping Lead in the ordering of materials for site.
- Communicate effectively with office-based Project Manager to ensure the smooth and timely progression of jobs, highlighting issues that arise.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Support with yard tidiness and processes.
- Attend staff meetings.
You will need:
- Experience in working off plans.
- To have some experience in stone work and stone construction – paving, cladding
- To have some experience in garden timber work – decking, trellising and fencing
- To have some understanding of irrigation systems.
- To have experience in planting shrubs and trees.
- Support the Hard Landscaping Lead to ensure that the gardens reach their full potential.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- To be diplomatic and calm with clients.
- Some horticultural knowledge
Desirable:
- 2-3 years of hard landscaping experience.
- To be skilled in stonework and stone construction – paving, cladding
- To be skilled in garden timber work – decking, trellising and fencing
- Knowledge of irrigation systems.
- Full clean driver’s license
- CSCS Accreditation
