The role…

We are currently recruiting for Guest Experience Hosts at the Adelphi Theatre, supporting our Resident Productions - The Comedy About Spies, The Lives of Others, and Billy Elliot. This next chapter brings together sharp comedy, gripping intrigue and world-class musical theatre - and we want you to be a part of it.
The Guest Experience team are the face of the Adelphi Theatre and play a key role in ensuring our guests are welcomed into a safe and secure environment. The team works across all areas of our front of house operations including our bars and retail outlets.
In many instances, you are the first person our guests will encounter during their visit, and you will be expected to always deliver an exemplary level of customer service and drive sales throughout the building. As a Guest Experience Host you will work with us to ensure that every customer experience in truly extraordinary.
What you’ll be doing…
- Be a key player in our exciting and diverse team of individuals to help stage the extraordinary.
- Maintain open communication with the supervisors and management team regarding operational procedures.
- Uphold our Customer Charter by putting the guest experience at the forefront of everything you do.
- Welcome our guests in an energetic and proactive manner.
- Ensure our guests are always free to enjoy their visit in a safe and secure environment by following our strict Security and Health & Safety procedures.
- Consistently deliver the highest levels of standards and presentation in our bar and retail operation.
- Maintain great product knowledge and take an enthusiastic approach to sharing this information with our guests.
- Provide an open and approachable profile always being available for any customer queries.
- Supporting the Supervisors in maintaining a smooth operation in your designated area of the building.
- Increasing your knowledge of all things LW Theatres, enabling you to provide a thorough and comprehensive level of service.
- Assist the Supervisors and Managers in achieving licensing objectives of responsible service of alcohol; allergen legislations, hygiene practices and other applicable management arrangements.
What we need…
- Previous customer facing experience.
- Previous experience of working behind a bar would be helpful, but not essential.
- Passion for exemplary levels of customer service.
- The ability to build a strong rapport with guests and colleagues in an engaging and professional manner.
- A calm and efficient approach when presented with fast evolving incidents.
- A team player who is comfortable working as part of a family of individuals.
- A “can do” attitude with the ability to adapt to the fast pace of live theatre.
- A self-motivating, conscientious approach; with an eye for detail.
- Take pride in LW Theatres dress code.
Contracted Hours: 30 hours minimum per week over any 6 of the 7 days
- Full availability on Friday 24th July, Tuesday 28th July to Friday 31st of July for training
- Full availability for first performances on Saturday 1st August and Sunday 2nd August & Sunday 9th August for Gala Night
Salary: £12.85 per hour
