Instore Direct is an independent company providing a complete range of furniture and appliance solutions to the property rental sector.
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our team. Candidates should have a positive, can-do attitude and be highly organised. They should be able to adapt to changing workloads, follow instructions accurately, and maintain excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will work well as part of a team and possess a polite, friendly manner with strong communication skills.
As a Sales and Finance Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of sales and finance administration processes whilst delivering excellent customer service.
This is a varied role that includes order management, post-sales coordination, invoicing and credit control. You will need to be organised, accurate and confident working across finance and administration systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries and providing product and service information.
- Raising customer orders, quotations and other customer-related requests, ensuring accurate and consistent data entry and record maintenance.
- Coordinating the delivery diary and communicating with clients and tenants, whilst working closely with the Delivery and Installation teams.
- Preparing and issuing sales invoices.
- Managing credit control activities, including chasing outstanding invoices and helping to keep payments on track.
- Providing general accounts and operational administrative support, working closely with the company's accounts team.
Skills and experience required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent).
- Experience using Sage, Dext, Xero or similar accounting software.
- Previous credit control experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
This is an opportunity to join a friendly team in a busy but relaxed working environment. The role would suit someone with experience in a sales-focused administrative position who is looking for a varied role with responsibility across both customer service and finance administration.
The position is full-time, working Monday to Friday, 8.30-17.30, although part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
Pay: £29,000.00 per year
