About the Role
We are a friendly and forward-thinking GP practice in Nottingham seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our clinical team.
As a recognised Training Practice, we are committed to supporting professional development, clinical progression, and continuous learning within primary care. Key Responsibilities
- Management of long-term conditions (diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension)
- Adult and childhood immunisations and vaccinations
- Cervical screening (if qualified)
- Wound care, dressings, and treatment room duties
- Health promotion and preventative care
- Supporting chronic disease clinics and patient education
- Accurate clinical record keeping using EMIS/SystmOne
- Working collaboratively with GPs, ANPs, pharmacists, and HCAs
- Participation in audits, QOF, and quality improvement work
About You
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Experience working in primary care or community nursing
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Patient-focused approach to care
Desirable:
- Experience in chronic disease management
- Cervical cytology qualification
- Immunisation and vaccination updates
- Experience using EMIS or SystmOne
- Interest in career development and prescribing pathways
