Large format/ digital Print Production & Print Finishing

Prontaprint Stockport are looking for a hard working and enthusiastic individual to look after the print production and finishing at our Stockport branch. You would also help to serve customers and process orders but the job is primarily production.
We have a small team at Stockport branch with lots of friendly and regular customers. We also have a great reputation for being friendly, professional and turning jobs around quickly. Prontaprint Stockport is a fast pace environment, it’s a combination of a high street printer / copy shop with regular corporate clients.
Prontaprint Stockport specialises in Digital & Litho print – Design – Marketing with an emphasis on amazing customer service and very fast turnaround. Our focus is making sure every customer is more that satisfied with our quality of print AND quality of service.
We are looking for someone to manage our print and finishing production. This managing the digital presses and large format printer. The most important part of the job is an eye for detail as quality is so important. You should enjoy working within a small team and also have a real passion for print and design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the Digital Press (Konica Minolta)
- Managing the Large format printer Mimaki
- Finishing work including using a variety of finishing equipment including the guillotine.
- Helping out with all aspects of the print shop environment including customer service
- Other finishing work including binding, Roller Banner, foam boards Mount and generally trimming work
Key Attributes for Candidate:
- Great common sense
- A real eye for detail
- Can work under own initiative
- Hard worker
- Great communication skills
- Enjoys working and communicating with other people (staff and customers)
- A genuine passion for print
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign (preferred)
- Enjoy working under tight deadlines
Hours: 4 Days per week ( 26.5 hour ) Wednesday to Friday (8.30am - 5pm) and Saturday(10 am to 2pm)
