Material Handler - 6 Month Temp role
Location: Falmouth, Cornwall
Full-time position working a 38 hour working week, Mon to Friday.
Salary: £12.71 Per Hour per hour

The Role
Sellectronics is seeking a Material Handler for a temporary 6-month contract. The role may become permanent if business conditions allow, and for the right candidate.
You don't have to have lots of qualifications, but you do need to be a logical thinker who has an interest in engineering and is curious about how products work. We want a dynamic new employee who wants to learn and develop with the business.
Your key aim will be to support the production department in smoothly processing jobs by supporting the movements of parts effectively.
Full training will be given
Key responsibilities:
- Handling of materials between various departments in the business
- Supporting Stores with the booking in of goods using our digital system.
- Support picking and issuing of production material against production work orders.
- Support the despatch department with packing when required
- Storage and retrieval of production material, maintaining excellent standards of location control and lot/serial traceability.
- Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and completed in accordance with company procedures.
- To actively contribute to, and where appropriate lead, improvement initiatives. To make and act upon recommendations to improve the quality of services provided by stores.
- To maintain the high-quality standards that our customers expect.
- Containment of non-conformance material.
Required Skills:
- Positive, Enthusiastic, Can do attitude.
- Ability to adhere to set processes.
- You will be literate and numerate, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A good communicator and able to work with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous experience in electronics material handling would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Experience with industry software such as ERP/MRP or similar.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable to the introduction of new technology.
- Experience of working in an AS9100 environment is desirable but not essential.
