Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team on a self-employed, commission-based basis. As a Hair Stylist, you will play a key role in providing exceptional hair services to our clients while helping to maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Your expertise in barbering, customer care, and various styling techniques will be essential in ensuring client satisfaction. Stylists are welcome to bring and maintain their own client database.
Duties:
- Deliver high-quality hair cutting, colouring, and styling services tailored to each client's individual needs;
- Manage front-of-house tasks, including appointment scheduling and client consultations;
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised and prepared for use;
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and offer personalised recommendations;
- Promote products and services through effective upselling techniques;
- Build and manage your own client base, with the option to bring an existing database.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating skills in barbering and hair design;
- Excellent customer service abilities, with the confidence to build rapport and retain clients;
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey ideas and understand client needs;
- Knowledge of upselling strategies to maximise service and product sales;
- Comfortable working on a self-employed, commission-based structure;
- Ability to manage and grow your own client database.
