We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Working Team Leader – Carpentry & Joinery to become part of our expanding team of trade specialists working across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced carpenter/joiner who takes exceptional pride in their work and is capable of leading a small team of operatives while continuing to work on the tools.

About Us
We undertake a wide range of Facilities Management projects in the construction, refurbishment and maintenance sectors working for clients including school trusts, private hospitals, Centre Parcs, retail and leisure operators and some of the largest commercial property management companies in the East Midlands.
We also undertake selected high-end residential developments and bespoke projects within our group of companies where exceptional workmanship and attention to detail are essential.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry and joinery works whilst coordinating a small team of joiners on site.
The role will involve working closely with clients, site managers and colleagues to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
This is a team leader position, it is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys leading from the front and setting standards through their own work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of first and second fix carpentry and joinery.
- Lead and support a small team of joiners
- Plan and organise daily activities to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Ensure work is completed to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
- Maintain excellent health and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate professionally with clients, site managers and members of the public.
- Assist with problem-solving and decision-making on site.
- Monitor productivity and quality of work within the team.
- Support and mentor less experienced operatives.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained and cared for appropriately.

Essential Requirements
- Live within or very close to Nottingham.
- Fully qualified Carpenter/Joiner.
- Minimum 5 years' experience following completion of apprenticeship.
- Experience supervising or leading small teams.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to provide references and qualification certificates.
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS.
- SSSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- PASMA.
- IPAF.
- Additional trade qualifications or certifications.
