Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 360 excavator operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist with excavation, site preparation, and other earth-moving tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work efficiently on commercial projects. The ideal applicant will have relevant experience and a valid driving licence, ensuring safe and effective operation of equipment on-site.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site clearance, digging, trenching, loading, and material handling tasks
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate activities and meet project deadlines
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks on-site
- Report any equipment faults or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
Experience
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators in a construction or civil engineering environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance
- Familiarity with site safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities
