Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Sorter to join our environmentally conscious team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting recyclable materials efficiently and accurately, contributing to sustainable waste management practices. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment committed to environmental preservation and resource recovery. The ideal applicant will possess mechanical knowledge and be capable of heavy lifting, ensuring smooth operations within the recycling facility.
Duties
- Sort recyclable materials by type, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct visual inspections of materials to identify contaminants or non-recyclable items
- Load sorted materials into designated containers for further processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and injuries during heavy lifting or equipment operation
Experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with physical strength and stamina to handle repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic, with an organised approach to tasks and safety protocols
