The Opportunity:
- English Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Must hold a 2:2 or above Hons degree
- Monday to Friday - Full-Time
- Secondary School, Alcester, Warwickshire
- £500 - £530 per week
- Ideally suited for aspiring teachers
The successful graduate must:
- A recent graduate with a degree in a science-related subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- A passion for science and a desire to help students understand and enjoy the subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous , tutoring, or mentoring capacity, is desirable but not essential.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong commitment to students’ learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of science lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students who need additional help with their science studies.
- Help prepare and set up science resources and equipment for practical lessons.
- Monitor and track students’ progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Support students during practical experiments, ensuring they follow safety protocols.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Help with the marking of student work and providing constructive feedback where necessary.
- Contribute to the development of lesson plans and teaching resources.
- Attend meetings and participate in professional development activities to enhance .
