The role:
A respected public sector organisation responsible for managing critical infrastructure, environmental assets and flood risk across a significant operational area.
As part of its continued development, the organisation is seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer to help strengthen governance, regulatory compliance, risk management and organisational assurance, working as part of a small close-knit team.
Responsbilities:
Duties span across compliance, governance, planning and development control, health and safety, policy development and stakeholder engagement.
Working closely with senior colleagues, helping to ensure the organisation operates effectively, responsibly and in line with an evolving regulatory landscape.
Required experience:
- Experience within some form of compliance monitoring is essential, as is a good understanding of health & safety legisaltion
- Individuals from compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, planning, enforcement, risk management or similar backgrounds
- Sector background within local government, infrastructure, utilities, environmental services, housing, engineering or other regulated sectors is helpful
- Applications are welcomed from former Armed Forces personnel and service leavers whose experience has developed strong leadership, operational assurance, governance and risk management capabilities.

Pay: £34,500.00-£38,500.00 per year
