We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology to join our educational team. Duties
- Plan and deliver comprehensive lessons in Design Technology, incorporating theoretical knowledge and practical applications
- Develop customised schemes of work that cater to diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education support
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively through positive behaviour management strategies
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Organise and supervise practical activities, ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times
- Support students with additional needs through personalised tutoring and tailored learning strategies
- Foster a stimulating environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices in teaching methods
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and achievement for reporting purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching Design Technology or related subjects at secondary level
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) procedures and behaviour management techniques
- Demonstrated ability to deliver lessons in English with clarity and enthusiasm
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to enhance their understanding of technical subjects
- Relevant teaching qualification recognised within the UK education system (e.g., QTS or equivalent)
- A passion for inspiring young minds through innovative teaching approaches and practical projects
