Part-Time Jewellers & Pawnbrokers Retail Assistant
We’re a family-run independent Jewellers & Pawnbrokers based along the South Coast and are currently looking to hire an individual with an interest in jewellery, watches, and the jewellery or pawnbroking industry.
We are seeking a presentable and customer-focused individual capable of serving customers in a retail environment, ideally with experience in the jewellery, watches, or pawnbroking industry.
The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, self-motivated, computer literate, and capable of using Microsoft Office. They should be well-presented, organised, and enjoy working as part of a team.
The selling and buying of watches and jewellery forms the core of our business, alongside pawnbroking and foreign currency exchange services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with enquiries and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Utilise strong communication skills to effectively promote and upsell products and services.
- Photograph jewellery, watches, and other items to a high standard for online sales platforms.
- Create accurate and engaging product listings for eBay, including descriptions, specifications, and pricing.
- Manage and maintain online inventory, ensuring listings are up to date and presented professionally.
- Assist with general retail, stock management, and day-to-day shop operations.
