Job Title: Crisis Senior Support Worker (Nights)
Location: Various across Norfolk and Suffolk
Salary: £34,612 per annum (£17.75 p/h) (plus enhancements for nights, weekend and bank holiday work, where applicable)
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time (37.5Hours)
This role is offered on an full time basis, and you will work a set 5 week rolling pattern.
Working Pattern: All shifts are 12.5 hours
About You:
As a Senior Crisis Support Worker, you lead a team of Support Workers to provide dedicated support to young people with severe challenging behaviours typically in residential settings, either as single occupancy, or dual/multiple occupancy. Acting as a role model for our Crisis Support Workers, you will need to showcase consistently high standards to ensure the service we provide is safe, secure, and in line with legislative frameworks.
You will need to be resilient, patient, committed and passionate about providing care to those often at their most vulnerable time in their lives.
Working as a team, you will provide effective and consistent support for young people working provide world class caring outcomes to the most vulnerable, whilst ensuring safeguarding is at the heart of everything you do.
The role will require you to complete sleep ins as and when required to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
To apply for our Senior Crisis Support Worker role, you will need:
- At least 1 year of experience as a support worker, health care assistant, or similar, working with significant challenging behaviour. This will be in either secure or residential settings
- Demonstratable experience of leading a shift where you encompass leadership qualities to ensure all duties are fulfilled.
- Be certified and have significant experience in intervention training (such as PMVA)
- A strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
- A strong knowledge and understanding of the care system, including safeguarding, risk management, communication and placement planning.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a good working knowledge of using IT equipment
