Studio PDP is looking for a graduate Architectural Technician to join our practice in Victoria, London.
We are seeking a motivated and creative technician with strong technical skills to work on exciting projects across prime residential, hospitality and offices sectors predominantly focusing on RIBA stages 3 to 5 within our studio.
Retrofit and sustainable/low energy design interest, skills or experience are a must. You will have an opportunity to join our in-house building physics team and receive training on u-value, cold bridging and moisture movement software that are critical to our exciting work on existing fabric and heritage projects.

Producing technical and working drawings to a high standard
- Assisting with preparing detailed working drawings, designs and models, together with NBS specifications
- Assisting with preparing and delivering presentations and reports of the highest standard at all stages of a project
- Helping produce the project's deliverables under the guidance of the team leader
- Working well within a team with other architects, architectural technologists and assistants
- Working closely with contractors, other consultants and design team members
- Observing and assisting with site inspections and quality control
- Observing and assisting with meeting, briefing and discussing project requirements and constraints with consultants and dealing with queries, checking and commenting on information supplied by others, and bringing the technical information up to date
You must be able to demonstrate that you have:
- A UK recognised BA/ BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology, HNC, HND or equivalent
- Ability to produce detailed drawings
- An understanding of low energy design
- PassivHaus knowledge
- Experience / knowledge of retrofit
- Skilled Revit user and fluency in Microsoft packages and Adobe packages
- Knowledge of Fire Safety regulations
- Able to demonstrate construction knowledge
- Continuous development of technical knowledge
- Knowledge of codes, practice standards, and industry expectations
- Working knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processes
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong design and drawing skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- A proactive attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities
