Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial planning throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for various construction projects.
- Monitor project expenditure to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential overruns early.
- Conduct cost control activities, including value engineering and cost optimisation strategies.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to negotiate costs and contractual terms.
- Manage variations, claims, and change orders efficiently to minimise financial impact.
- Assist in procurement processes by preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project costs and financial documentation for audit purposes.
- Provide advice on financial risks and opportunities associated with projects to stakeholders.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, contractual procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent programmes is desirable.

Pay: £33,278.43-£73,963.01 per year
