We're recruiting for an experienced Customs Clerk to join a well-established and growing freight forwarding business that invests in its people, offers genuine career progression, and provides a supportive team environment.
You'll be responsible for managing customs clearance activities across import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with UK customs regulations while delivering exceptional service to customers.
Key duties include:

Processing customs declarations using CDS

Reviewing and validating import/export documentation

Ensuring compliance with customs legislation and regulatory requirements

Resolving shipment issues and preventing delays

Managing customer invoicing and supplier payments

Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

Previous customs clearance experience within freight forwarding or logistics

Working knowledge of CDS

Import and/or export customs experience

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and customer service abilities

Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000
Monday to Friday working pattern - no weekends
