Role Details: Multi-Trade Operative – Social Housing
Salary: £40,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card

Out of Hours: 1 in every 5 Weeks | £140 weekly standby | £40 per call‑out
MMP are recruiting for an experienced Multi‑Trade Operative to join a respected social housing provider covering Surrey and Epsom. This permanent role involves completing responsive repairs and voids works across occupied and empty properties, delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused maintenance across a wide range of trades.
As a key member of the repairs team, you’ll be attending day‑to‑day maintenance jobs, diagnosing faults, and carrying out general repair tasks with a strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and first‑time‑fix outcomes. Travel across Surrey and Epsom is required, with work planned as close to home as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsive and planned general maintenance within occupied homes
- Fault finding and diagnosing repair needs across multiple trade areas
- Bathroom and kitchen repairs, installations, adjustments and making‑good
- Minor carpentry such as easing doors, fitting skirting, and basic repairs
- Patch plastering, surface preparation, and small remedial works
- Painting & decorating (touch‑ups and making‑good)
- Damp and mould washing, treatment, and basic preventative measures
- General property repairs, fittings, fixtures and finishing works
- Maintaining accurate records using a PDA for daily work completion
What you will need:
- Proven experience as a Multi‑Trade Operative
- Experience in social housing repairs (desirable but not essential)
- Strong all‑round maintenance and repair skills
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 points)
- Basic DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality results
