One of the UK’s largest independent Construction Consultancies is actively recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its growing London team, working across all property sectors on a variety of exciting projects.

The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and project wins, the company is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated QS to gain hands-on experience on high-value property projects while developing technical, commercial, and client-facing skills in a supportive consultancy environment.
You will work closely with senior colleagues, gaining exposure to project management, cost control, and commercial processes, with clear progression routes towards Quantity Surveyor and Senior QS positions.
The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in:
- Supporting the delivery of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across Residential, Commercial, Retail, and Mixed-Use projects
- Assisting with cost plans, feasibility studies, procurement strategies, and risk assessments
- Supporting contract administration, change management, and financial reporting
- Liaising with clients, design teams, and contractors
- Contributing to commercial management and project delivery from early stages to final account
- Supporting and strengthening client relationships
- Working collaboratively within a growing London-based property project team
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Consultancy or PQS-side experience (desirable but not essential)
- Interest in working across all property sectors
- Strong commercial awareness and good communication skills
- MRICS status or working towards chartership (full support provided)
- Motivation to develop their career within a growing, collaborative consultancy
