To assist the Asset Manager (Housing) in delivering high-quality, efficient contract and project management from design to completion, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
- To assist in the development, administration and contract delivery of the Council’s Capital and Revenue Planned Maintenance Programme.
- To act as the departments representative, to protect the customers interests and to ensure achievement of good quality work in liaison with other departments, sections, consultants and contractors.
- To protect the Councils Capital and Revenue budgets by actively controlling expenditure and ensuring that all projects offer the Council value for money.
- To promote positive behaviours in the workplace and promote safe working within Housing & Property Services.
- Sound building technology knowledge and experience
- House condition survey experience
- Computer literacy, use of a range of databases and spreadsheets
- Demonstrable experience working in a Housing Asset, Repairs and Maintenance role or equivalent
- Technical knowledge of property repairs/ maintenance or improvement works
- Appropriate technical qualifications to ONC/HNC/HND level in Architectural Technology.
- Ability to manage complex situations / projects and find appropriate solutions
- Willingness to take on additional tasks
- Full driving licence and use of car for work purposes
- AutoCAD Computer Aided Drafting skills
- Worked in property repairs/maintenance or improvement environment
- Ability to monitor and negotiate with contractors and consultants
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation
- Good standard of general health and fitness required
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding
