Overview:
We are looking to recruit two Master Technicians - one based at Lewes Road depot in Brighton, one in Crawley - to support all depots across Brighton & Hove and Metrobus with the diagnosis and repair of vehicle faults, while keeping up to date with modern vehicle technologies, as well as providing training to engineering colleagues.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Fault diagnosis
- Use of advanced diagnostic tools
- Training and upskilling colleagues around basic diagnostics tool use, including apprentices
- Reducing dependency on external contractors
- Producing technical reports as required
You will need:
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Full UK Driving licence
- Knowledge of various vehicle electrical systems
- Experience in diagnosing faults
- Experience using a range of diagnostic tools, such as Jaltest, Cummins Insite, Mercedes-Benz Xentry, ZF test man and other PSV or heavy vehicle diagnostic tools
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining industry and company standards
- Good time and workload management skills
- To be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing demands and priorities
- To be highly organised and enthusiastic, with a common-sense approach
- Field service experience is preferable
