Salary: £45,000.00 - £65,000.00 + OT + Van & FC
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week (8:30am–5:00pm, Mon–Fri, with flexibility based on customer needs)

Mobile Forklift Service Engineer - About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Mobile Forklift Service Engineer to join our UK & Ireland Service Operations team. Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will maintain, service, and repair heavy material-handling equipment, delivering a high level of technical expertise and customer service.
Mobile Forklift Service Engineer - What You’ll Do
In this hands-on field-based role, you will:
- Service and repair heavy lifting and third-party equipment at customer sites.
- Carry out daily allocated service, repair, warranty and inspection tasks to a high standard.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and CANBUS-related faults efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance to manufacturers’ specifications.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and support.
- Provide accurate reports and documentation for all completed work.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and the development of apprentices and other engineers.
- Follow all company, legal and HSEQ standards, always ensuring safe working practices.
Mobile Forklift Service Engineer - Who You’ll Work With
You will collaborate closely with:
Internal Teams: Technical, Customer Service, Depot and Sales.
External Contacts: Customers, fleet management companies, dealers and other third-party partners.
Mobile Forklift Service Engineer - About You – Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Mechanical & Electrical engineering qualifications.
- Proven experience working with heavy plant or material-handling equipment.
- Multi-skilled engineer with strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical background.
- Confident in reading wiring diagrams and diagnosing electrical/CANBUS faults.
Preferred:
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND.
- PLC experience.

Mobile Forklift Service Engineer - Benefits & Additional Pay
- Overtime:
- Time and a half (Mon–Sat)
- Double time (Sun)
- Regular overtime generally available but not guaranteed
- Call-Out Rota:
- £150 flat rate per week when on call
- Any call-out hours paid at double time
- Door-to-Door Pay: All travel time is paid.
- Company Van: Includes personal use (subject to HMRC benefit-in-kind taxation).
- Full-time permanent contract within a globally recognised organisation.
