Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of patrons and premises at various venues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and providing assistance in accordance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards. Duties
- Manage entry and exit points, verifying identification and ensuring only authorised individuals gain access.
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security threats.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter antisocial behaviour, violence, or disorderly conduct.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if required.
- Enforce venue policies and licensing conditions in a professional manner.
- Record incidents accurately in incident reports and communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods to ensure safety for all attendees.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential.
- Experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring procedures.
- First aid certification is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Professional appearance and demeanour with a customer-focused approach.
